Privacy Policy

How we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

Last updated: 2026-11-04

Introduction

PublisherAtlas ("we", "us") operates a directory of publicly observable information about third-party websites. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard information when you use publisheratlass.com. It covers your personal data as a user. It does not cover facts about third-party websites — those are public data, described under "Website & Directory Data" below.

Information We Collect

  1. Account Information — Your name, email address, and authentication identifiers created when you sign up (email/password or a supported social login).
  2. Usage Data — Pages viewed, searches and filters used, exports performed, and similar interaction records needed to operate the service, meter usage-based features (e.g. export credits), and prevent abuse.
  3. Device & Network Information — IP address, browser type, and locale, used for security, rate limiting, and session management.
  4. Cookies — Session cookies (required to stay signed in), locale preference, cookie-consent choice, and analytics cookies only where you have opted in.
  5. Payment Information — Billing is handled by our payment processor (a merchant-of-record). We never receive or store full card numbers.

Website & Directory Data

The directory's content describes third-party websites, not our users. This information comes from public and official sources: ad networks' publicly published seller lists (sellers.json), public RDAP/WHOIS domain registration records, and licensed third-party traffic-intelligence providers. Revenue and worth figures are model estimates, not actual earnings.

If you own a website listed in the directory and believe an entry is inaccurate, contact us and we will review it. Where a listing is factually wrong we will correct it; public registration facts cannot be altered.

How We Use Your Information

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the service.
  • Process subscriptions and meter usage-based features (export credits are tracked per account; each CSV export is watermarked with an export identifier).
  • Send transactional messages (payment confirmations, security notices).
  • Detect, prevent, and address fraud and abuse.

Third-Party Services

We rely on a small number of processors to operate: a hosting and database provider (Cloudflare), our merchant-of-record payment processor, optional privacy-respecting analytics, and transactional email delivery. These providers process data only to deliver the service.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. Data is shared only with the processors above, with professional advisers under confidentiality, or when required by law.

Data Retention

Account data is retained while your account is active. Billing records are retained as long as accounting rules require. Usage and export records are retained to enforce quotas and licenses. Anything else is deleted or anonymized when no longer needed.

Data Security

Encryption in transit, access controls, and secrets stored encrypted at rest. No transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, but we review our posture continuously.

Your Rights

You may access, correct, export, or delete your personal data through account settings or by contacting us. Deletion requests are honored subject to legal retention obligations (e.g. billing records).

Changes to This Policy

Material changes will be announced by updating the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, a notice in the service.
